Will Britain not be in the room during exit negotiations?
False. This is a misinterpretation of clause 4 in Article 50 of the Lisbon treaty, the document that sets out the framework for a country leaving the EU. It actually means that we wouldn’t be in the room when the EU is deciding its position in the negotiations; of course we will be in the room when the EU negotiates with us.
